Pee Dee Pro Hockey Makes Splash With Kevin Szabad Signing

FLORENCE, SC- Pee Dee Pro Hockey has announced that they have signed Forward Kevin Szabad.

Szabad, 27, most recently played for the Monroe Moccasins after being traded from the Baton Rouge Zydeco. Szabad played all 56 games in the 2024/25 Season and he earned 21 Goals and 17 Assists for a total of 38 points, with 3 of those being game-winning goals.

“I’m very excited to be able to play in South Carolina this coming year,” said Kevin. “It’s a sort of a homecoming for my wife and I as she is from just outside of Lexington and I have spent many summers with my wife here. Being close to home made it an easy decision for us, and we look forward to getting re-acquainted with the area.”

“I was very impressed by Kevin’s performance while in Monroe” said team Owner Parker Moskal. “He is somebody who is going to play a consistent 200 foot game and can also find the back of the net.” Moskal Continued. “It is exciting that he has family here in the area, as a team, we are dedicated to putting the community first, and for him to be a part of this community already, we know he will always strive to do the best here in the Pee Dee.”
